Green Day In Detriot- Celtics 94 Pistons 80 !!!

Written on May 25, 2008 – 8:35 am | by Harry Robinson |

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett (5) defends Detroit Pistons guard Richard Hamilton late in the fourth quarter of Game 3 of the NBA basketball Eastern Conference basketball finals Saturday, May 24, 2008, in Auburn Hills, Mich. Boston got their first road win of the playoffs 94-80 and lead the series 2-1.

The Boston Celtics have been considred by many in the post season to be a “BULLY’ due to they can win at home but, when it comes to being on the road they’re soft like the twinkie filling.  Boston in this post season is 0-6 on the road and no NBA team has ever won a championship being 0-6 on the road.  The Celtics losing game 2 in Boston had many thinking that there season is over and that the Pistons will win this series easily, but that’s why sports is so outstanding and just when you think you have it all figured out and upset like last night happends.

AUBURN HILLS, MI - MAY 24: Kevin Garnett #5 of the Boston Celtics goes up for a dunk past Antonio McDyess #24 of the Detroit Pistons in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2008 NBA Playoffs at the Palace of Auburn Hills on May 24, 2008 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Boston Celtics was 31-10 on the road during the NBA season which was the best in the NBA.  Boston last night jumped out to a 11-0 lead and the Pistons from that point on was in trouble since.  Chauncey Billups for the Detriot Pistons was horrible.  Billups in game 2 who scored 19 points last night only had 6 points.  The Pistons as a club had probably there worst shooting post season performance from three point land ever.  The Pistons was 1-13 from three point land.  That is only 7%.   Richard Hamilton lead the Pistons with 26 in all there were 3 players for the Pistons in double figures. Rookie Rodney Stuckey of the Pistons had this to say”We didn’t come out and play. That’s it, point blank, “We didn’t give no effort at all at the start of the game, and you can’t do that against a team like that.”  The Boston Celtics looked like the team who played like the best team on the road in the NBA during the season. As for the Boston Celtics they had a total of 6 players in double figures.  Kevin Garnett lead all scores for Boston with 22.  Doc Rivers head coach of the Celtics had this to say.”I think our guys just assumed we would eventually win on the road,”  Boston with the win has now a 2-1 lead in the best of seven.  Next game Monday night in Detriot.
