Damn Lebron- Celtics 76 Cavs 72 !!!
The King came into Boston on Tuesday to start game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals the Cavs Vs. Celtics. This season Lebron James has average 32 points per game against the Celtics. Last night James was supposed to keep the pressure on the Celtics and maybe the reason why the Cavs beat the Celtics in game 1 of the best of 7 series but that was not the case.
Lebron James last night had a night he like to forget. James shot 2/18 from the floor and had 10 turnovers. James had 12 points and made his other shots from the free throw line. Ilgauskas lead the way for the Cavs with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Wally Szczerbiak added 13 but with James struggling with his shot the Cavs could not pull away from the Celtics. As a team the Cavs shot a horrible 23-75 from the floor at 30%. The Celtics lead by the Kevin Garnett with 28 wasn’t that good themselves. Boston shot 29-68 from the floor at 42%. Paul Pierce had only 4 points Ray Allen 0 the last time Allen didn’t score in a game was Febuary 1997. The key shooters for the Celtics besides Garnett was Rondo with 15 and Sam Cassell with 13 off the bench. Kevin Garnett had this to say about the win last night.”This was two heavyweights, just body punching,” .”There was no finesse, no jabs, just an all-out, beat-down, defensive fight.” Lebron James who just career bad playoff game had this to say.”I missed a lot of shots I know I can make,” James said, staring at the stat sheet incredulously after scoring just two points in the second half and missing his last six shots in all. “I missed layups. Those layups I’ve made my whole life.” Well James can make up for it this Thursday night game 2 in Boston.
