Boston Blow Out- Celtics 99 Hawks 65 !!!

The Boston Celtics coming into the playoffs had the most wins out of any NBA team this season by winning 66 games. The Boston Celtics have the home court advantage throughout the playoffs. Today the 66 wins were all in the favor the Celtics who struggled on the road in there 1st round battle with the Hawks. Boston could not win no games on the road in the 1st round against the Hawks but it didn’t matter they won all the home games and because of the that the Celtics will move on to the next round.
The Hawks started game 7 with a three pointer by Joe Johnson and took a 3-0 lead. If you were a Hawks fan you could turn your t.v. sets off there. The Boston Celtics as team this season had the best team defense and the Hawks found out first hand today how good there defense were. The Hawks only scored 26 points in the 1st half the Boston Celtics had the lead at the half 44-26. The Hawks for the game shot 24-82 from the floor at 29%. Leading scorer for the Hawks was Joe Johnson with 16 but the Hawks were never in the game. Mike Woodsen of the Hawks had this to say”I wish we could have played all of our games in Atlanta,” said coach Mike Woodson, whose team won all three home games but never came close to stealing one in Boston. “Nobody thought we had an opportunity to even win a game in this series. We battled them right to the end. We just didn’t have it today.” As for the Celtics they shot 47% from the floor lead by Paul Pierce with 22 in all there were 5 players for the Celtics in double figures. “I really had no doubt in my mind how we were going to come out,” Pierce said. “You kind of saw it from the guys after Game 6 on the plane, there wasn’t a lot of talking. We knew that we let a couple of games get away in Atlanta and I knew we were just going to take care of business.” Next up for the Boston Celtics are the Cleveland Cavs Kevin Garnett had this to say about the Cavs.”They’re a group that’s defending Eastern Conference champs,” Garnett said. “To do anything, you’ve got to go through them. “It’s good that we have home-court advantage. I think it should be a good series.” The series between the Celtics Vs. Cavs will take place Tuesday at 8pm in Boston.
