An Old Lesson- Spurs 91 Hornets 82 !!!!

The New Orleans Hornets was coming back home for game 7. The fans were behind them and a lot of NBA experts had the Hornets beating the Champions the Spurs. The Spurs had a lot against them going on the road trying to win a game 7 in a loud and wild enviornment. The Spurs also have never come back from being down 2-0 and the Spurs lost the first two games of the series to the young Hornets. Now everything seemed to be in the favor of the Hornets expect one old rule. To be the man you got to beat the man and when all was said and done the Champs are still here.

Game 7 was in the 1st half all Spurs they shot the ball well and had the lead at the half and the third quarter the Spurs had there best third quarter in the whole series. The Spurs out scored the Hornets in the third quarter 20-14 and at the end of three quarters the Spurs had a 15 point lead. The Hornets came back in the 4th quarter with a tremendous come back lead by Jannero Pargo who had 18 points. Chris Paul had a strong game but the Spurs had him in control Paul had 18 as well with 14 assist. David West for the Hornets had 20 but from the three point range the Hornets were not good. The Hornets shot 23% 4-17 and once again Peja Stojakovic didn’t shoot well. Stojokovic was 3-11 from the floor and only had 7 points. As for the Champions the Spurs the whole team showed up. Yes Manu Ginobli lead all scores with 26 but Ginobli is not the only reason why the Spurs won. How about Ime Udoka foward scored 8 points in 21 minutes. Horry hitting two huge three pointers in the third quarter. Micheal Finley hittng two three pointers and yes Bruce Bowen hit two three pointers as well. The other big two did the damage Tony Parker with 17 and Tim Duncan 16 points 14 rebounds and the Spurs were on there way to the Western Conference finals.”What we did today was play better D in the third quarter,” Popovich said. “We held them down and it really was about that for us.”"I’m glad that’s over,” Popovich said afterward. “The Hornets are an unbelievably tough team in every way you could imagine, and they had a fantastic year. I don’t think there’s any doubt their time will come.” Popovich the Spurs head coach said. Now the Western Confernce Finals are now set the Lakers Vs. Spurs.
