A NO NO IN Beantown- Red Sox 7 Royals 0 !!!

For the 18th time in MLB history a no hitter was thrown. Jon Lester for the Boston Red Sox made history last night. In Fenway Park Lester no hit the Royals last night. Lester who has over come a lot in his short career by having cancer in the shoulder in August of 2006. Lester has made a come back that is almost seem like a fairy tale. Lester last season pitched game 4 of the World Series for the Red Sox and win and with that the Red Sox became the World Series Champions for the 2nd time in four years. The huge thing also about Lester was that he was in trade talks this season. A deal to bring Johan Santana to the Red Sox Jon Lester was suppose to be part of the deal. The trade didn’t happened and now Lester stays in a Red Sox uniform and throws a no hitter. ” I threw a couple in high school,” but this is a little different.” Jason Varitek made history also last night. The Captian and Catcher for the Red Sox is the only player to catch 4 no hitters. Varitek caught the combine no hitter with Lester and Paplebon, Hideo Nomo and Derek Lowe. The Red Sox with the win is on top of the A.L. East 28-19.
