Top 5 QBs in this years draft

310.jpg382.jpg198.jpg363.jpg196.jpgMy co- host have all claimed how bad QB play is in the NFL.  I agree that these are not the days of Elway,Montana,Aikman,Marino,Farve and all the QBs that came out of the draft had to have some kind of similarities with those guys. You saw  guys like  Bledsoe,P.Manning,Brady,McNabb.  Now the fall off begins or does it?  This years crop of QBs are not household names right now, but they can be with the right system and coaching.  Here are 5 guys I think you should keep an eye on.

1). Matt Ryan  Boston College:  6′5/225.  56 TDs-37 INTs, 9310 yrds, 216 yards per game avg. Scouts like this guys head and arm. Might be the number one overall selection in this years draft. Look to Atlanta to take him at 3.

2). Joe Flacco  Delaware:  6′7/236.  41 TDs-15 INTs, 7057 yrds, 243 yrds per game avg.  I like this guy, he has a cannon and is huge.  The knock on Flacco is he can he be as accurate?  I think in the right system and the right coaches he can. 2nd round pick, but could slip into the first round.

3). Brian Brohm  Louisville:  6′3/227,  71 TDs/24 INTs,  10,775yrds, 244 yrds per game avg.  Is thought by most as the second most talented QB in the draft. Smart kid had a nice combine showing. Scouts question his ability to lead on the field.  When games were not going quite his way he took plays off and did not command respect in the huddle. Look for Ravens to take him at 8.

4). Erik Ainge  Tennessee:  6′6/225,  72 TDs/35 INTs, 8700 yrds, 202 yrds per game avg.  You can say he is football’s version of Dirk Nowitzski,  Everyone else believes but him. He had the tools to be a good to great QB. With the right coaches and some time carrying a clip-board maybe that fire will burn and we will see what he can really do. 2nd rounder will be a steal in the 3rd.

5). Colt Brennan  Hawaii: 6′4/208,  131 TDs/42 INTs, 14,193 yrds, 373yrds per game avg. Do they eat in Hawaii? This guy is small when it comes to weight.  Nice arm, smart, gutsy. needs to work on mechanics a bit, and put on some damn weight for god sake.  The numbers speak for themselves.  System or talent? I think it’s talent 3rd round pick a steal in the 4th.
