Vikings are on the clock………
A Star is born in Minnesota….Adrian Peterson was lights out for the Vikes. He gave them a new dimension at RB. Not since Robert Smith have the Vikes had a real threat at RB. I mean don’t get me wrong Chester Taylor is nice, but this guy is so much better. The Vikes are in need of replacing the aging defense maybe even look at QB. After a 8-8 season things are starting to look up for the Vikes
The Vikings select: DE Phillip Merling, Clemson a pass rushing monster that will give the Vikes D some instant credibilty. At 6′5, 272lb this guy has a explosive first step. Should fit in well with the Vikings Defensive system.

The Vikes feel like they are just missing some pieces to be a contender in the NFC. The draft will be used to fill holes and find some backups. With the retierment of Farve in Green-Bay the Vikes should be the odds-on favorite to win the NFC North.
