There is a on going disscussion of are there any top flight WRs in this years draft? Well there are at least 5 in my mind that can come in and make a instant impact.
). WR, Limas Sweed, Texas Good hands and nice speed at 6′4, 225lbs and ran a 4.46 40 at the combine. The knock is injury prone. Suffered a wrist injury early in 07 season. Came back to re injure it at the Senior Bowl. look to the Bills to snag him at 11.
)WR DeSean Jackson, California Although he is 5′9, 167lbs this guy can fly. A 4.35 40 at the combine. what does he bring to the table? RETURNS,RETURNS,RETURNS. Devan Hester has set the table and guys like Jackson are benefitting from it. Eagles will love him at 19.
.) WR Malcolm Kelly, Oklahoma At 6′4, 218lbs this was the Sooners deep threat. Needed to show well at the combine, but chose to skip it. Thought he would work-out at the OU Pro-Day, skipped it too. Will have a private work out on the 9th. His body of work at OU keeps him high in my book. Redskins scoop him up at 21.
.) WR, Devin Thomas, Michigan State 6′2, 215lbs deep threat with a 4.40 40 at the combine. Showed great hands and big play ability for the Spartans. In 23 games he caught 85 passes for 1350 yds and 9 TDs Titans will jump on him at 24.
.) WR Mario Manningham, Michigan: 6′0 181lb this guy should have been a top 5 pick in this years draft, but a poor showing at the combine and some off field issues made his stock drop. His body of work is his saving grace. No denying he can play. In 24 games with the Wolverines he amassed 137 catches, 2310 yrds, and 27 TDs. Still possible for him to go in the first round, but not likley.
