NFL schedule has been released
The 2008 schedule has been released and I think there are some very interesting notes here. The New England Patriots have by far the easiest run. Not only are they facing the Jets, Bills, Dolphins twice they also face the Cardinals,Seahawks,Rams,& 49ers from the NFC West. They will face the Raiders,Broncos,Cheifs,Chargers from the AFC West. They will also get the Colts& Steelers. Can you say undefeated run? The only possible slips may be the Colts,Chargers,Steelers. Needless to say the Pats will be the odds on favorite to win the AFC. So which team has the toughest schedule? Well by the looks of things the Steelers will be hard pressed to make the playoffs. They will face the Bengals, Browns, Ravens twice. Then they run into the brutal NFC EAST Cowboys,Giants,Redskins,& Eagles. Then they play the AFC SOUTH Titans,Colts,Texans, Jaguars. Then they get the Chargers & Patriots. They will be playing playoff bound teams almost every week. If they make the playoffs they will definately be the best battle tested team in the AFC.
There will be 2 games outside the US one in England where the Chargers will face the Saints. There will be one in Canada where the Bills will face the Dolphins.
Here are my must see games of the 2008 season
Sept. 7, Cowboys at Browns; Lets see if the Browns are really ready for the big time. This will also be a nice test for the Boys defense against one of the most potent offenses.
Sept. 8, Vikings at Packers: Monday Night Football with out Brett Farve! Aaron Rogers gets the keys to the Packers and will have to face All-Day Adrian Peterson and the Vikings. Divison rivalry, maybe a possible Brett Farve sighting.
Sept. 14, Patriots at Jets: Spygate game will the Pats dismantle the Jets for 100 points as payback?
Sept. 14, Steelers at Browns: The Steelers have the division title and the Browns want it. This will be a Matchup of two heavyweight boxers, one the always consistent champion, vs the up and coming powerpuncher.
Sept. 28, Falcons at Panthers: new coach and probably new QB with the dirty birds. A divisonal matchup for the wide open NFC SOUTH.
Sept. 28, Redskins at Cowboys: The best rivalry in Football need I say more?
Oct. 12, Patriots at Chargers: The Pats maybe 5-0 at this point. Here will be test number 1.
Oct. 13, Giants at Browns: The Super bowl Champs vs the most exciting team from last year. another test for the Browns.
Oct. 27, Colts at Titans: The Colts always have a good test with the Titans. Can the Titans finally give the Colts a run for the AFC SOUTH title?
Nov. 2, Cowboys at Giants: Rematch,Revenge, Rivalry MUST SEE T.V.
Nov. 2, Patriots at Colts: Are the Pats undefeated at this point? This will be test number 2. also possible AFC Championship preview.
Nov. 9, Packers at Vikings: NFC North showdown part 2
Nov. 16, Titans at Jaguars: Both teams could be moving into playoff position
Nov. 16, Cowboys at Redskins: Still the rivalry in football
Nov. 17, Browns at Bills: last year a good game in the snow, this time it will be snow and possible playoff push.
Nov. 23, Colts at Chargers: AFC CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW?
Nov. 27, Titans at Lions: Thanksgiving day game worth watching could have playoff implecations.
Nov. 27, Seahawks at Cowboys: Thanksgiving Day game that will be worth watching.
Nov. 27, Cardinals at Eagles: Late Turkey Day game, both teams should be in playoff hunt.
Nov. 30, Saints at Buccaneers: NFC SOUTH TITLE FIGHT?
Dec. 7, Dolphins at Bills (at Toronto): Over 100,000 people have bought tickets. Lets hope these two will put on a great show.
