Lions on the clock

Nice try Jon Kitna you were 3 games short of your predicted 10 game win season. The Pack and the Vikings were just too much for the Lions to pull off the 10 piece. At 7-9 the Lions did not have the stars or enough plays to make a push. The one thing they did have was heart scoring 37 total TDs, but allowing 444 points. So maybe defense is where the Lions need to look, Or even a big play guy.
the Lions select: RB, Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois this would be good here. A big play type back at 5′10, 225lb and fast with good hands. Blazed a 4.45 40 at the combine. Caught 37 passes in 07. This guy can be the next Brian Westbrook.

Looking at the list of players the Lions got from free agency a RB battle seems to be brewing with Kevin Jones and Tatum Bell. Add Mendenhall to that list and the Lions are creating their own 2 headed monster.
