Two Down Two To Go!!
As the clock winds down to end the fourth quarter the Staples Center fills with “MVP” chants from a crowd of 18,997. The Lakers completely killed Denver last night in Game 2 122-107 and now lead the series 2-0. Kobe Bryant who had a somewhat of a cold first game finshed yesterday with 49 pts and 10 asst - just one away from his playoff high. Paul Gasol added 18 pts and 10 rebounds and Luke Walton stepped up too by scoring 18 pts.
The Nuggets stars Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson combined for 54 pts. Linas Kleiza was added to the line up to help clog the middle. It worked early in the Game as the Nuggets took a 20-14 lead. This was great game, it was close in some spots but as Kobe became HOT it was lights out Denver after that. You could also see in the Nuggets the frustration as the Lakers took the huge lead. Games 3 and 4 will be played in Denver on Saturday and Monday night. I hope the cool air in Denver does not cool off this hot team.
