Sweeper Hold
Auf Wiedersehen, Adios, and Sayounara are all ways to say good-bye, and that is what the Los Angeles Lakers said to the Denver Nuggets last nigth in a series sweep. The Lakers pulled off a victory 107-101 on Denver’s homecourt to advance to the next round of the Western Conference Championships. Kobe Bryant had 31 pts and Pau Gasol added 21 for the Lakers. “He is unbelievable,” Luke Walton said about Bryant. Kobe, who made big plays by any means if it was a turnaround jumper with Kenyon Martin on him, a 3-pointer, or even a drive to the basket…..Kobe made it happen. Gasol who has never made it out of the first round, he is 0-12 in playoff series with Memphis. Denver star Carmelo Anthony accussed his team of give up fouled out of the game with 1:19 left.
The Nuggets couldn’t keep Los Angeles out of the lane for easy layups and dunks. The Nuggets also made silly mistakes, like missed dunks and foul trouble. The Nuggets have never been sweep before in a seven game series. Nuggets Coach George Karl embraced his son Coby Karl, a rookie guard for the Lakers after the game. “Coby playing in the NBA is the best gift that has ever happened to me in my life,” said George Karl. Up next for the Lakers is the winner of the Houston-Utah game. So rest up now LA cause this game will becoming up fast.
