The Colorado Rockies came into last night game on 5 game losing streak and look to turn it around .  The Rockies had to go up against the veteran Tom Glavine and the Atlana Braves the Braves who swept the Mets back home in a 2 game series were now taking the show to the west coast.

The Braves scored first in inning 1 with a double by Chipper Jones and Glavine then put on one of his best performances in a long time by going 6 plus innings no runs with only 3 hits and 3 strike outs.   Glavine now for the season has and ERA of 0.79.  The Rockies were able to make the comeback in the 8th inning with one on and one out runner on 2nd relief pitcher Boyer threw a fastball to Matt Holiday and Holiday hit it over the centerfield fence.”As long as I’ve been here I’ve never seen a ball hit that hard and not go but two rows deep,” Rockies manager Clint Hurdle said. “That ball was hammered”  The Rockies held to the win 2-1. Tom Glavine had this to say after the tough loss”I’m happy that I’ve given us a chance to win the games, but there is only so much of this you can take,” Glavine said. “You must start winning.”  The Rockies and Braves hook up again tonight to continue there series in Colorado.  The game took 2 hours and 5 minutes this was the shortest game in Coors Field history.
