Josh Beckett has been a problem for the New York Yankees in 2003 he beat the Yankees in World Series to help the Marlins win there 2nd championship. Beckett came to the Red Sox and won the World Series in 2007 Beckett has become the most clutch pitcher in MLB but part of his remarkable career is beating the evil empire that is the New York Yankees. Beckett went 6 plus innings had 5 strike outs with 3 earn runs. As for the Yankees they turned the ball over to the veteran Mike Mussina who went 6 innings gave up 4 runs and 8 hits. The critical part in this game was 2 out runners at second and third Joe Giradi and Mussiana decide to pitch to Manny Ramirez who hit a 2 run double for his career Ramierz is hitting .357 against Mussina and also hit a homerun Ramirez scored 3 of the 4 RBI’S for the Red Sox who was able to hold on and beat the Yanks with a outstanding save by Papelbon by striking out 4 batters in a row. The Red Sox with the win ties up the series with the Yanks 1-1 the rubber match will take place on Sunday.
