The last time the Hornets won in Dallas Chris Paul was 12 years old before tonights game.  Not since 1998 have the Hornets won a game in Dallas.  The Mavericks came out in the 1st quarter and scored 30 points but could not keep up the production on the offensive side of the ball by the end of the 1st half the Hornets had the lead 48-44.  Thrid quarter the Hornets went on a 9-0 run without Chris Paul and started to pull away.  The man for tonights game was David West who was reported before tonights game didn’t speak due to his poor performance in game 3.  West made up for tonight in game 4 .”Everything was stirring up in him,” coach Byron Scott said. “He wasn’t going to play the way he played in Game 3. We were banking on that. He was in an aggressive mind-set from the start and he came up big.”

The Hornets took control in the second half and the Mavericks just could not keep up with them.  David West lead all scores with 24 points and 9 rebounds in all there were 7 players in double figures.  The Hornets shot 38-76 from the floor at 50% as for the Mavericks 3 of there 5 starters had a combine 13 points the lead scorer for the Mavs was Nowitzki 22 points the Mavs shot 32-89 36% from the floor.  To make matters worse in the 4th quarter Jason Kidd was flaged with flagrant foul 2 and was ejected out of the game.  The question now becomes for the Mavs will they have hall of fame point guard Jason Kidd? or will Kidd be suspended.  “I don’t really have an answer for it,” said Nowitzki, exhaling loudly and running his hand through his hair in frustration. “All season long, we’ve lost leads way too quick. … Everybody has to be in attack mode. You have to make shots to win in this league.”  The Hornets look to close out the Mavs in game 5 and now have a 3-1 lead in the series.
