The Atlanta Hawks have been the laughing stock of the NBA for the past 9 seasons tonight all Hawks fans you can laugh at least for one night.  In a stunner the Hawks defeat the Celtics 102-92 this was the first win for the Hawks in Phillips Arena and in a long time was able to be on national t.v. and the Hawks made the best of it.  Game 3 was tied at the half at 56-56 and then the Hawks went off lead by Josh Smith who had a game for the ages with 27 points 9 rebounds 6 assists Smith who shot 11-17 had this to say about tonights win in Phillips Arena” We got and ran today the crowd was going crazy we needed this.”  The Hawks had all five starters in double figures.  Al Horford making a statement of once again being nmaed rookie of the year. 

Mike Bibby in the first two game only had two assits but tonight in game 3 Bibby had 8.  The Hawks from three point range in the first two games only made two tonight they made 10 shot 55% from thee point land as for the Celtics who average during the season 10 three pointers only made 6 shot 35%.  The Hawks also who shot 47% from the floor finally was able to score the first time this season score over 90 points against the Celtics. Hawks also out rebounded Boston 35-43.  The Celtics were lead by Kevin Garnett with 32 points and 10 assits as for the other big two they had a combine effort of only 27 points.  ” For this to happened for the city of Atlanta this is remarkable.”  Coach Woodson for the Hawks.
