Who’s Ready???
The No. 1 seed UConn Huskies, ranked atop the Ap poll for 12 of the final 13 weeks will open this Sunday against No. 16 Cornell. The Huskies have only lost one game this year (to Rutgers) and they are hoping to get to the Final Four for the first time since 2004. This team is lead by Freashman star Maya Moore, who became the first Big East freshman to win Player of the Year.
What dreams are made of for one team, but for another it could be a true nightmare. With the No. 8 seed in the county Rutgers will have to face UConn in order to get to the Final Four. This is becoming the new big rival in Women’s Hoops, that is because the old rival between UConn and Tennessee didn’t even meet this year for the first time in 13yrs.
UNC may have to face second-seed LSU in New Orleans just to advance to the Final Four. It this happens they will be playing a team very close to home. LSU is lead by Senior Sylvia Fowles. She is a triple threat on the court and this will be her fourth Final Four apperances. They hope this year will be the year they cut down the net.
The only big surprise this year was that Maryland got the No. 1 seed over Stanford. Stanford is trying to become the first Pac-10 team to make it to the Final Four. Alot of new teams are in the line up as well and this should really play out to be an exciting tournament.

gotta say, though the Rutgers seed is explainable, I don’t believe the Maryland one is…
I gotta agree with you on this one. Stanford got screwed, without even a kiss. I hope they use it as motivation and run through their bracket (and I am not even a Stanford fan).
