UCONN Wins Big East Tournament Title……Again
The Lady Huskies have done it again as they walk away with their 14th Big East title. It has been six year since Connecticut won both the Big East regular-season and tournament titles. Last night No. 1 UConn defeated No. 22 Louisville 65-59 to win the Big East championship. Renee Montgomery lead UConn with 20pts and Maya Moore added 13 pts. This was Louisville’s first trip to the championship game, but they just cant get pass UConn to win. Last year in the semifinals the Huskies knocked them out. Louisville has won 10 of their last 11 games, including beating Rutgers on Sunday. Angel McCoughtry led Louisville with 22pts and ll boards. This game also had the largest crowd to watch a Big East Tournament game.
