I can not believe it…. Nebraska has won their first tournament game in ten years. The Lady Cornhuskers beat Xavier 61-58. The Cornhuskers led the entire game and they were up by 15 in the second half. Kelsey Griffin tied a season high 26pts for the eighth-seed Huskers. Griffin had help along the way from Tay Hester with 13pts and Cory Montgomery with 12pts.
Xavier’s Jerri Taylor scored 19pts and this is the third straight in and out appearance for the Musketeers. Xavier had a very slow start against Nebraska, the Musketeers went 1-for-7 and had four turnovers. Up next for the Huskers No. 1 Seed Maryland.
