With the start of the Women’s NCAA tournament, already an upset took place as 11th seed Florida State beat sixth-seed Ohio State 60-49.  This game was practically over in the opening minutes.  FSU jumped right on Ohio State taking a 7-0 lead.  FSU played with quickness and OSU…..well they played more of a half court game.

fsu.JPG Florida State played with speed and man-to-man defense really killed Ohio State offensively.  Tanae Davis-Cain, the junior guard hit 5-of-9 3-point attempts to finish with 27 points.  She did a wonderful job defensively, putting the pressure on Ohio State’s senior and sharpshooter Marscilla Packer.  Packer had a really hard time finding open shots.   This is the second year in a row FSU has pulled an upset.  They played this game with extreme confident and they were in control the whole game.  Now the question is can Davis-Cain play the same defense againt Oklahoma State’s Andrea Riley.
