Ravens on the clock
Baltimore fans have had the worst luck when comes to QB’s. Not since Trent Dilfer has a QB stepped up to take this offense to the next level. Kyle Boller not that good, traded away Derek Andersen, Steve McNair is just too old. Coach Brian Billick could not see the writing on the wall that the Ravens brass was getting a little fed up with his constant belief in Boller. Now that he is gone look to new coach John Harbaugh to get the first available QB on the board.
The Ravens select: QB, Brian Brohm,
Louisville The Ravens would love for Matt Ryan to fall to them, I just don’t see that happening with Atlanta picking 3rd. Brohm’s stock fell when he did not show at the senior bowl, but the combine work-out helped keep him at 1st round level. Some even think Brohm is the better QB than Ryan.
Key free agents: Brendon Ayanbadejo (LB) signed/unrestricted free agent (four-year contract).
Frank Walker (CB) signed/unrestricted free agent (two-year contract).
E.J. Cochrane (K) signed.
With the Ravens not having a lot of cap room to play with free agents are not going to be their focus. The draft will have to provide the personnel needed for this team to battle in the always competitive AFC.
