Oh how the mighty have fallen. The Bengals looked like they finally have all the pieces to turn their franchise around……..And now look at them. Is it just me or is it that ever since that illegal blow to Carson Palmer in the game against the Steelers, The Bengals have fallen mighty fast? Its either injury or jail? This maybe Marvin Lewis swan song if he can’t get that team in order quick fast and in a hurry. Now your star WR wants out. Please Bengal Brass use your head here. You have a opportunity to get another 1st round pick you might wanna take it. It does’nt seem like the Bengals can do anything to make Chad Johnson happy at this point. Get what you can before there will be no offers and you will have to just release him. They have the 9th pick and will look to help that Defense lets take a look.

The Bengals will take: DT, Sedrick Ellis, USC this is a guy who made heads turn at the Senior Bowl and had a outstanding combine. Some feel this is the steal of the draft because of Ellis’ potential.

Dhani Jones (LB) re-signed/unrestricted free agent (three-year contract).

Antwan Odom (DE) signed/unrestricted free agent (five-year contract).

Stacy Andrews (G) re-signed/franchise (one-year contract).
Brandon Johnson (LB) signed/unrestricted free agent (one-year contract).

Ben Utecht (TE) signed/offer sheet (three-year contract).

Roy Manning (LB) re-signed (one-year contract).

Darryl Blackstock (LB) signed/unrestricted free agent (one-year contract).

As you can see the Bengals are already addressing the issues on Defense. Nice move at TE to get Utecht form the Colts. Will “Agent Ocho” be in the fold? Only time will tell as we move on to the Draft.
