Let’s Get this Straight

I am sick of this whole notion that the Lakers are now this super team. With the addition of Pau Gasol it has re-energized not only Kobe Bryant but now Phil Jackson. Now don’t get me wrong the Lakers will not be an easy out come playoff time but to think that this team has enough to beat the Spurs is ridiculous. The Spurs are the reigning champs for a reason. Three reasons to be exact. Wait make that four reasons. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Gregg Poppovich. Gasol is a very soft player who couldn’t get th Memphis Grizzlies a single victory in three playoff appearances. Andrew Bynum is still hurt. Derek Fisher is old. Now Lamar Odom has become very inconsistent and he can’t shoot free throws. All that adds up to Kobe trying to do everything himself. That adds up to no rings and no chance to beat the Spurs. The Spurs are the team that noone is talking about. Yet they are tied with the great Lakers for first in the Western Conference. That has to be scary for Kobe and Phil. As hot as the Lakers have been the Spurs keep plugging along. While every other team needed to add a marquee player to bolster their playoff stock the Spurs added Kurt Thomas an enforcer to help out Tim Duncan. That will prove to be trouble for all contenders or should I say pretenders cause it is the Spurs to lose.

‘Love me or hate me, it’s one or the other. Always has been. Hate my game, my swagger. Hate my fadeaway, my hunger.
Hate that I’m a veteran. A champion. Hate that. Hate it with all your heart. And hate that I’m loved, for the exact same reasons.’
    - Kobe Bryant

You really need to just take a step back and look at the words you just wrote. I see just like you see the Spurs are winning, but they played the Nets last night. The playoffs start April 19th and that is the time when the Spurs light switch will turn on and they will make there race to the Finals. I say this if the switch is not on yet then it will never be on. The fire that the Lakers are carrying is on and they are ready. New Team with a new hunger. Maybe its the Lakers that scare you because deep down you see what everyone else sees and you are frighten by it. It’s ok K-boogie. I don’t fear this team. I welcome the challenge.

What are you talking about turning on the switch this team has the best record in the West the switch is turned on already.

All I’m saying is let that same drive that pushes the Spurs during the playoffs push them in the same direction in the regular season. If that was the case we would not have 2 teams tied for first place. Think about this also they have never won back-to-back titles. GO LAKERS, SUCKAS!!!!

BC get real. Why should I fear the Lakers they ain’t done nothing. Nothing. Kobe like I said will go back to his old ways. He will shoot and shoot and shoot. You know you don’t believe in Jordan Farmar or Luke Walton or at this point Lamar Odom. Those guys will wilt under the bright lights of the playoffs the Spurs have yet to play their best ball. the Lakers have and they still can’t shake the Spurs.
