MVP? Tracy McGrady !!!

Written on March 13, 2008 – 10:26 am | by Harry Robinson |

Tracy McGrady at the start of this NBA season was considred by most who has followed his career as a disapointment.  McGrady for his career has average 22 points has been a all star sevral times in his career but McGrady never has been able to become the big time franchise player that most experts and NBA fans thought he was set out to be.  McGrady this season still didn’t change the minds of many fans and your’s truly McGrady was missing games couldn’t stay healthy and just seemed to be happy that he was just getting a good pay check but wasn’t a big time player.  Yao Ming this season became the franchise player for the Rockets by avg 22 points and 10 rebounds.  Ming became the go to man in the team not McGrady who by many took the punk move and no longer wanted to be the man on the Rockets.

Then on Feb.27th everything changed a report came out that Yao Ming will be out for the season with a stress fracture of the foot.  The Rockets at that time have won 12 in a row and seemed to have gotten on a hot streak but it all seemed to at that time to go to waste due to Yao Ming being out for the rest of the season.  I mean who was the Rockets to count on Tracy McGrady?  Especially with the Western Conference being and adnormal year with every team playing at a high level the Rockets didn’t seem to have a chance.  McGrady seemed to get back to his old T MAC self with taking charge of this Rockets team and becoming the go to man.  The Rockets have now won 8 in a row and McGrady is clearly the reason why but with the help of Shane Battier,Bobby Jackson,Luther Head and Dikembe Mutombo the Rockets have come out of no where and so far this season is the talk of the NBA in the 2nd half.  McGrady and the Rockets eventhough they have won 20 in a row and only the second team in NBA frachise history to do so are still no one’s favorite to come out the West and more than likely will be the underdog in there 1st round match up no matter who they play but let’s stick to the facts and as of right now the Houston Rockets and Tracy McGrady are the talk of the NBA and McGrady should be mentioned as MVP especially if the Rockets end up in the top 3 seat in the Western Confernce.  McGrady I must say you have changed my feeling towards you and keep it up you will be my vote for MVP of the NBA 2007/08 season
