The Spurs came into this game loosing three in a row and was geared up to get back to there championship winning ways by taking on the best team NBA the Boston Celtics.  The Spurs in the 1st half put a basketball clinic on the Celtics at one time in the game they had a 22 point lead and it seem to have the game in there pocket.

The Celtics took over the 2nd half with the big four Pierce 22 Garnett 21, Raja Ronda 20 and coming off the bench Sam Cassell with 17.  “A lot of teams may have buckled,” said Rajon Rondo, who scored 20 points for the Celtics. “But we knew we had to execute. Continue to get stops on defense and we knew the game would change for us, and it did.” The Spurs were not too happy with the loss Robert Horry had this to say”I’m just mad that we had a 22-point lead and blew it,” Horry said. “We shouldn’t have even been close. We should have done what we were supposed to do and won this game, especially at home and you’re up 22. I don’t care who you’re playing.”  The Spurs with there 4th loss in a row is now in the 6th seat in the Western Conference one has to wonder has the Champs ran out of steam?
