It took the Boston Celtics 16 seasons to achieve what they achieve tonight in Philly and that is win 50 games in a season.  The Sixers who have been on a hot streak of late especially at home winning 8 in a row they was looking to give the team with the best record in the NBA a run for there money.  The Celtics started the game meaning business they went on a 15-0 run and made a statement to the Sixers that you guys are not yet on our level.  Garnett lead the for the Celtics with 26 points and 12 rebounds Pierce had 17 and Allen 21.  Sam Cassell made his debut tonight as a Celtic the veteran point guard didn’t score but he was able to get his feet wet with his new team.”It doesn’t mean a lot. Numbers are numbers,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. “You don’t get a trophy for getting 50 wins. I guess it’s nice, but it’s not what we’re playing for.”
