Last night the rematch of last seasons Final Four National Championship game between the Tennessee Lady Vols and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights was a different kind of ball game.  During the last second of this game the Scarlet Knights were up by one point.  Then with 0.2 seconds left in the game Nicky Anosike was foul as she grabbed an offensive rebound.  What was so tricky about this foul is that it was unclear if it happen before the clock expired.  It seemed as if time stood still for just enoungh seconds for the foul to happen, Anosike to make two free throw shots and for the Lady Vols to walk away with the win 59-58. 

Anosike said “Basically I hadn’t done anything to help my team or help us win, I knew I was going to have to step up.”  Rutgers coach C. Vivian Stringer expressed her views on it and she said during the press conference that she is glad it happen in regular seaon or she would have lost her job had it been in the Finals.   Candace Parker who bruised her knee still lead the Vols with 27 pts and 10 rebounds.  Epiphanny Price for Rutgers had 21 pts and Essence Carson added 18.  If the Scarlet Knights would have won the would have knock down two top ranked opponents in a row.  They beat No. 1 UConn on the 5th by two points.  The Ladys of Rutgers also wore Pink to bring awareness for Breast Cancer.
