What will It Take!!!

Written on February 18, 2008 – 7:42 am | by kbarkley |

We all have said that this Congresional hearing involving Brian McNamee and Roger Clemens has been a disaster for baseball. How many of us true fans will stop watching baseball. veryone I know has made the statement that the “steroid era” has ruined the game. Has it? Bud Selig has seen this game go from a million dollar business to a billion dollar business. The attendance record is broken each and every year. To me right now baseball is at an all-time high. The way the Colorado Rockies came from nowhere to win not only the NL West but the entire National League was a great story. The Boston Red Sox may have finally passed the “evil empire” as the number 1 franchise in the game. Detroit pulls off the trade of the year and gets Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera to join Curtis Granderson and Magglio Ordonez to form one of the most formidable lineups mybe in the history of baseball. Let’s not forget Johan Santana is now a Met. So I ask short of another work stoppage “What will it take for you to boycott baseball”? Please someone answer that question. To me i have come to realization that everyone is doing it. Pitchers, catchers, hitters, bullpen coaches, managers, the list goes on and on. With 2008 on the horizon are we looking at another record breaking year? Yes we are in every way. So sit back and enjoy it. I know you aren’t going anywhere.
