The Atlanta Hawks made the move they have needed to for some time. After passing up on Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Brandon Roy the Hawks now have a real point guard in Mike Bibby. After sending the Kings expiring contracts of Anthony Johnson, Tyronne Lue and Lorenzen Wright also Shelden Williams and a second round pick the Hawks to me stole Bibby away from Sacramento. Without having to touch the core of their roster now the Hawks have no excuse in getting to the playoffs and now winning their first round series. Not only is the pressure eleviated from Joe Johnson now he has someone who can make clutch shots and allows for the floor to be spread so lanes are now open for drives for Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and Josh Childress. With Bibby the Hawks really need to start to push ball up and down the floor. Come with a more wide open game so these young athletic guys can get out on the break. The only problem I see will come on the defensive end. Bibby has never ben a great defender by no means but the trade off for having finally got a point guard will be worth it.
