Hughes Play-Cavs 118 Magic 111 !!!
February 12, 2008 |
The Cleveland Cavs Larry Hughes has not been all that he was built up to be. Hughes has had lack luster play and had a issue of staying healthy. Danny Ferry the General Manager has been accused of not building a team around the star player Lebron James, but if Larry Hughes can play like he did last night maybe he can the second man on this Cleveland Cavs team. Larry Hughes scored a season high 40 points. James had 29 points with 10 assit.”We are coming off a back-to-back, so it was kind of in their favor,” Hughes said. “But these games you have to win.” The Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy not happy with his team play went after his young Center Dwight Howard.
“To me, it’s a matter of focus,” Stan Van Gundy said. “His focus is on the offensive end — he gets discouraged when he doesn’t get the ball. I know the numbers prove that what we need him to focus on to win is defense and rebounding. But that’s not what he wants to do right now, and so we’ve got a little bit of a conflict.” Howard who is only six days away from being in the all-star game. Howard is avg. 14 points per game. Dwight Howard had this to say”I get frustrated a little bit,” Howard said. “But I’ve got to do what’s right for the team. They need me to be focused on what I need to do to help our team win, which is rebound, play great defense and be active.” The loss was the Magic 21st of the season . The Magic for the season are 32-21. Orlando is still the third seat in the Eastern Conference.

if Hughes can keep that up then maybe LeBron would not have to do it alone.
This is what Lebron needs. Not 40 points from Hughes just be consistent. Any help Lebron can get will not only help King but the rest of the guys get more and more confidence. Don’t give it to the Celtics just yet.
