The Streak Is OVER!!!!
January 30, 2008 |
The Los Angeles Lakers ended their streak and now they have to get ready to hit the road on the franchise longest road trip. In the Staples Center last night the Lakers showed the Knicks who is the boss by beating them 120-109. Sasha Vujacic had a great game and was one of the key players in last night’s win. He had 20pts last night and most of them came in the fourth quarter. “He’s continued to work hard. He’s been diligent at it,” said Kobe Bryant about Vujacic. I’m really starting to like how this guy is playing, Ronny Turiaf had a big game too. He added 14 pts, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots. But I cant forget about my man Kobe would finished with 24 pts, 11 rebounds and eight assists.
The Knicks Zach Randolph had 16 pts and made a big shot to bring them with in two before the Lakers scored the next 10 pts. Jamal Crawford and Nate Robinson led N.Y. with 22 pts each. The Knicks have lost 11 straight road games to Western Conference opponents since beating the Lakers 107-106 nearly a year ago.
Injuries have hit home once again for the Lakers with Luke Walton now having problems with his right hip. So now we have Andrew Bynum, Chris Mihm, and Trevor Ariza all on the sideline.

look at how scared Jamal Crawford is….he don’t want none of Kobe, cause when the Black Mamba strikes it’s all over…LMAO
I’m with you bcourtney!! We are closer to the Finals then everybody think. This years playoff race in the West is wide open with the aging Spurs looking vulnerable, Suns will look good in regular season and then won’t have enough in the playoffs again, Mavs don’t have what it takes to win it all and Houston and Utah in dangered of not even making the playoffs.
As for the East…..We can beat any team, but will need to show we can beat Boston because they blew us out in the 2 regular season games. We can hang with Detroit.
We can beat any West team in the playoffs. I believe it will come down to us and the Hornets for a trip to the Finals.
Of course, all this won’t happen unless we have a healthy Bynum and maybe a move before the trading deadline.
Get ready for a long and exciting playoff run because we will play in June!
