Hawks in Cleveland Tonight
January 2, 2008 |
Tonight our Atlanta Hawks will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. This will be a good match-up, looking at how the Hawks are doing so good this year and how the Cavaliers made it to the Finals last year. But that year is gone and with a New Year now here the Cavs hope that they can improve to a better start then they did when the season first open.
The Cavaliers are 14-17 and are 10th in the East, 10 games behind Detroit in the Central Division. LeBron James, who just turned 23 yrs old on Sunday, leads the league in scoring at 28.8 points per game. Cleveland has won 12 of its last 14 over Atlanta.
Atlanta finished 13th in the East and last in the Southeast Divison last season. The Hawks are 15-13 and have the fourth-best record in the East and they are second in the Southeast just behind Orlando. In the last three meetings against the Cavs, Joe Johnson has avg 22 pts. The game takes place at the Quicken Loan Center in Cleveland at 7:30pm.
