24-years In The Making
The Kansas State Wildcats finally did it!!! They finally beat No. 2 Kansas 84-75 in a game that the Wildcats have been waiting 24-years to do. Now this is a true “Streak”, and they have never beat Kansas at home in that time frame. Michael Beasley had 25pts as he led the Wildcats to victory. Fresh meat guard Jacob Pullen and forward Bill Walker help out along the way. Pullen finished with 20 pts and Walker had 22pts.
Beasley was doubled and sometimes triple-teamed through out the night. He was 4-4 behind the 3-point line. The Jayhawks own Mario Chalmers had 19 pts, Brandon Rush had 15 and Darrell Arthur finished with 12. Arthur, drew his fourth foul with 13:33 left and went to the bench, this weakened the Jayhawks offensively and defensively. The Jayhawks then went seven minutes without a field goal. This has now left Memphis as the only unbeaten team.
