Faulk You-Patriots 21 Chargers 12 !!
January 21, 2008 |
If you would’ve told the San Diego Chargers that Tom Brady will throw three interceptions and the Patriots will only score 21 points the Chargers would’ve have signed for that, but the problem is that happened you as the Chargers couldn’t take advantage of the opportunity being in the red zone sevral times. The biggest play of the game was made by the oldest player on the field in the 3rd quarter the Chargers was at the 6 yard line on a 3rd and 1 and Mr. 39 year old former Charger legend Junior Seau put a hit on Micheal Turner and stop the scoring drive cold and the Chargers had to settle for a field goal. The Chargers never scored a touchdown while the Patriots eventhough they wasn’t light’s out on the offense side of the ball did put the ball in the end zone three times to give them there 21 points.
Laurence Maroney and Kevin Faulk proven to be the factors down the strech for the New England Patriots. Maroney rushed for 122 yards and kept the Chargers defense on there heels all through out the game. Faulk on the Patriots last drive of the game was outstanding with 7 plus minutes remaining in the game Brady and Faulk were the nails in the coffin to the Chargers. 3rd and 7 Faulk caught a diving pass from Brady and on 3rd and 3 Faulk did it again coming out of the back field. Faulk lead all of New England with 8 catches for 82 yards and help the Patriots win there 18th in a row and the 4th AFC Championship trophy in 7 years.
