The Hawks Pull It Out In OverTime
This ways my first game this season at the Highlight Factory and I’m glad I got a chance to see this game. Everyone knows that the Hawks have not been the best team in the past couple of years and that they were kind of a laughing stock like most Atlanta teams. But not this year the Hawks are off to a great start and they pull it out again against the Miami Heat in OT 111-117. In the beginning of the game the crowd was a little mixed with both Heat and Hawks fans but by the time the game was over most people were chanting “Let’s Go Hawks”!!
The Hawks were without point guard Speedy Claxton and Tyronn Lue due to injuries. But the player who came through when it matter was Anthony Johnson who put up a season-high 21pts, 9 asst. Marvin Williams matched his career high with 26pts and 10 rebounds. Joe Johnson also had 26 pts with 9 asst for Atlanta. Joe Johnson gave us the lead during OT with a three-point play with 1:05 left.
Miami was down most of the game, Alonzo Mourning was hurt early in the game due to a torn patellar tendon in his right knee. Dwyane Wade was on fire for a little but the Hawks soon cooled him off. Shaq got into foul trouble and we had to sy “Bye-Bye ” to him in the fourth quarter. My highlights of the night had to be when they put Shaq and another player on the Kiss Cam and Shaq began to rub on his head but the other player didn’t catch on until after Shaq did it a couple of times. All in all it was a fantasic time, I will never forget this game and that is for one reason I got the chance to see the greatest NBA player of all time Earvin “Magic” Johnson. He attended the game and my dad being LakerOne5 had to go down and get a picture. Seeing both Magic and Pat Riley at the game that was really a once in a lifetime thing……for any Lakers fan.

Good game last night the key to victory was Anthony Johnson and his overtime point guard play.

This is exactly what this town and franchise need. Exciting play and exciting games. Anthony Johnson is doing his thing and just what would this team look like with a real point guard. I told you from the beginning that this team will win 40+ games.
