Falcons Name Interim Head Coach
December 12, 2007 |
As Bobby Petrino says “Bye-Bye” the Falcons name Veteran Coach and Hall of Fame candidate Emmitt Thomas as the interim head coach. Thomas has a great history in the NFL, he played in 181 NFL games, including Super Bowls I and IV. Thomas owns two Super Bowl rings as an assistant coach. Thomas is 64 and has coached with six NFL teams.

I think its a good thing to get rid of Petrino anyway and have a fresh start next year. Morale was so bad i think a change was necessary. If im not mistaken Emmitt Thomas was the def coordinator for the eagles back in the Ray Rhodes era (mid 90s) so nice to see him get a shot at the age of 64. cya
We will talk about this tonight on the show, but to be honest I am really finding it hard to keep my cool with this Bobby Petrino what a JERK!!!
Heres an idea for 2008— Bring in Bill Cowher, and bring back the old Black unis—-it could be “Back in Black II” Cowher would bring instant credibility/
