Georgia Tech already lost to UNC-Greensboro and Winthrop, and they trailed the Georgia State Panthers 40-32 after going nearly 5 minutes without a point to start the second half.   Georgia State, which was hosting their next door neighbors Georgia Tech for the first time since 1973.  Leonard Mendez, who led the Panthers with 20 points, made two free throws to tie it up again, but after that the Yellow Jackets led the rest of the game.  Even with 15 minutes left Georgia Tech was still close to another embarrassing upset.

Lewis Clinch and Zack Peacock made sure the short ride home was a lot easier to take.  Clinch scored 22 points andPeacock added 17 points.  Georgia Tech played its seventh straight road game and with the Panthers they improved to 16-2.

Next up for the Yellow Jackets is KU on Dec. 18 @ 7:00pm and the Panthers on Dec 8 WS @ 7:30pm.
