There has never been a player in FBS (Formely known as Div I) history to ever score 20 touchdowns passing and rushing. To be exact this man’s numbers are 29 passing and 22 rushing. That adds up to be 51 touchdowns. That doesn’t sound let me check my figures. Yes that is correct 51!!! Wow!! that is astounishing. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever predict that Tim Tebow would have accounted for 51 touchdowns in one season. If you hadn’t guessed by now I am talking about Superman himself TimTebow. Coming in to this year I said plenty of times that if you were going to get the Gators you better get them this year. Well the defense was gotten plenty to the tune of 3 losses but Tim Tebow I can’t say he was gotten at all this season. Yeah he played about a game and a half with just one arm which kinda led to the Georgia Bulldogs 3rd win in the series in the last 18 meetings. With that being said Tebow has thrown only 6 interceptions this season as well. Now get this next stat a completion percentage of 68%. That is unheard of. That was the knock on him coming into the season. Boy did he knock that out the box. Now they say that a sophomore has never won the Heisman and that maybe true. I can think back to another sophomore Gator quarterback who deserve the trophy but didn’t get it( Rex Grossman ‘02). Darren McFadden had a great ballgame against the number 1 team in the nation runninf for over 200 yards and playing quarterback for about 25 % of the game. Noone and I mean noone has been as consistent as Mr. Tebow. So to me your winner of the 2007 Heisman trophy is none other than Tim Tebow. Maybe our first repeat winner since Archie Griffin next year.
