BB Davis Entertainment Report

This is the season for giving, on yesterday, several celebrities did the there fair share of community service:
Calista Flockhart ( Brothers & Sisters, Ally McBeal ) was just one of the many celebrities serving Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission. Other stars included Harrison Ford ( Indiana Jones, Patriot Games, Air Force 1, Star Wars )
Big things are still poppin’. Although T.I. is on house arrest, he made a public call to all of his friends to help raise funds for The Hosea Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving Feast. Notable celebs that answered the call were Big Boi (OUTKAST), Kevin Liles( Def Jam), Ne-Yo ( R&B Singer), Jermaine Dupri (music mogul). Together they raised close $170,000 which was over his goal of $150,000.
As mentioned, the R-Kelly tour “Double UP” is making waves; however, it will not be with Ne-Yo. According to my sources, it was stated that there were some contractual issues between the promoter and Ne-Yo. But the word on the street is that Ne-Yo’s perfomance was better than R.
Shout out to Alicia Keys “As I Am” for being #1 according to Neilson Soundscan numbers: $750,000 unit. With 9 Grammys under her belt, I am sure she will get another one. As I Am, is second highest selling debut week of any artist behind Kanye’ West “Graduation”.
Check out Kanye West on the cover of GQ magazine. He and other GQ men are winners of the Men of the Year issue.

How would you like your co-worker to come dress for work? Well in Taiwan, Audrey Underwear asked all female employee’s to come to work in their undies to celebrate the record sales. November 21st, was named Camisole Day, and at least 90% participated. Check these out….

Just too much Bling! BLing! Sean Kingston of UK “Beautiful Girls”

What would you do with $40,000?
I would pay off bills, save a little, and go shopping, or would you be the highest bidder to name a new butterfly species? Well, in Gainesville, Florida an anonymous bidder did just that. The bid was in honor of Margery Minerva Blythe Kitzmiller who passed in 1972 of Malvern, Ohio. Who is she? a mother whose 3 sons all fought in World War II. The money was given on behalf of the Kitzmiller grandchildren. What a way to memorialize someone you love.
Happy Birthdays
C Black aka the Commissioner ( SIDELINESHOW )
Salli Richardson-Whitfield - Actress( “Low Down Dirty Shame”, “Eureka”, ” I am Legend”)
John Henton - Actor ( Living Single ’s Oberston )

Movies to catch this weekend in between shopping:
This Christmas, star-studded cast: Regina King, Delroy Lindo, Loretta Devine, Idris Elba, Sharon Leal, Lauren London, & Chris Brown. Christmas with the Whitfields will not be all peaches and cream. Secrets and more drama than you can stand will be revealed. But at the end of the day, love & family is what matter most.
Stephen King’s The Mist, if you know anything about Stephen King you will surely be scared. This story takes place in a small town where a violent thunderstorm brings a mist that will have the town choosing sides or uniting to stay alive.
