At the beginning of the season I chose the Patriots v Cowboys in the Superbowl. I still believe that will be the match-up. Since the cheating scandal I’ve watched the Patriots become something that I personally thought would never happen to such a proud organization”***-holes”.  First before anyone gets the wrong idea, I can respect a team that beats me on the field and I know when I have been beat by a better team. The thing is why the Patriots are doing it now? If the cheating scandal never came out and the Pats do this it is still considered classless. Why? Well as a athlete I can tell you that it is hard work and commitment and it is our job. Noone wants to be embarrased on their job in front of their family and kids. When you’re in college and high school you can explain why such thing happen. Rankings,Bowl-bids,Recruiting,scholarship offers all these things are accepted by all who play the game. Once you get to the Pros none of those things matter anymore. I mean really what can you say when its 34-0…? You’re not doing your job?…..what? We are all in the Pros for a reason cause we all worked hard to be the best we can be. The on field respect you show to a team when you’re the better man is a non spoken rule not found in the rule books. We understand that all 32 teams are playing to win championships and get paid, and that all the players in the league gave everything they had to get there and you show respect for those teams that are not having such good fortunes as you are now. We all came up from the ranks to be Professionals and you respect that. Some teams are better than others and unlike college you know who will win and who will lose for the most part. We play the game because we are all blessed to have a opportunity to play in the world of pro sports. You don’t expect any team to come out and humiliate you when they have the upper hand. Bill Parcells,Bill Walsh,Tom Landry,Chuck Noll,Vince Lombardi & Don Shula never did anything of the sort to any team. They won big games and showed class to the ones they beat by not tryin to rub it in or prove a point, They didn’t have to. You were beat bottom line!!!!! no need to show domination at the end of the game the score board says it all. As Herm Edwards says “you play to win the game” not to humiliate everyone because you got caught doing something that pretty much all teams do. At what point did you think the Washington Redskins were going to win??????Exactly!!!! you didn’t so what was the overkill for? You’re still going to be under question whether or not you beat teams  or not, the best thing you can do is WIN THE SUPERBOWL PERIOD!!!!!!!!! I know how athletes think and i’m not saying its right but the Patriots are not asking for respect they are in fact asking for the “B**LS**T” that is retaliation and bounty hits. No one wants to be made a fool of!!! NO-ONE!!!!!!! Even highly overpaid athletes they are still people under those helmets. You want to get the NFL back make them give you the Trophy in Feb. You want respect you have to give it to get it. You get back what you give and if humilation is what you want to give then expect it back. I really don’t want to see my favorite sport become a game of bounty hunts,low-blows, and uncalled for injuries. I respect you when you beat me  I may not like it, but I respect you. You humiliate me then respect is the furthest feeling that I have for you and we all know what happens when those feelings surface…….DON”T WE????? So do what you want, but ask yourself are you wanting respect  or are you wanting something else? Only the Patriots know the answer.
