Curt Schilling improved his postseason record to 9-2 with a 100-pitch effort.

The Boston Red Sox are the team to beat. 40 year old Curt Schilling showed yesterday why he is considered one of the best big time pitchers of our time, better than Roger Clemens, Santana and even better than John Smoltz. In seven shutout innings and now has and outstanding record in the post season of 9-2 with a 1.93 ERA. David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez continue to be clutch performers hitting back to back homeruns yesterday and Manny Ramirez who a game winning three run homerun in game 2. The Red Sox have become not only the team to beat but do I dare say a dynasty. The Red Sox swept the Angels and now all reaming teams in MLB playoffs better take notes that the Red Sox as of right now is the best in baseball.

Albeit Curt Schilling has left that memory in our heads from the bloody sock and he has been great in the postseason. I would venture to say that he is comparable to John Smoltz but if I had one game to win I would go with Smoltz. As far as saying that the RedSox are a dynasty I think you know the real reason for a dynasty as you are a Yankee fan. Let them win two maybe three in a row and continue to get to the playoffs on a consistent basis and then we will talk.
