A Hughes Deal-Yanks Win 8-4!!!
Roger Clemens only went 2/13 innings and gave up 3 runs. Things looked sour for the New York Yankees, but a young pitcher step in and help save the Yankee season Phillip Hughes who went in and pitched 3/23 innings gave up no runs and only two hits, Hughes kept the Cleveland bats calm so that the Yankees could finally get on track. Johnny Damon had three hits one was a three-run home run to give the Yankees a 5-3 lead the Yankees never looked back with so so performance by Joba Chamberlin and a normal shut out performance by one Mariano Rivera the Yanks get to play for another day. The owner boss George Steinbrenner was not to happy with his ball club performance and has stated “If we don’t win this series Joe Torre will not be back.” Well George don’t get the pink slip just yet Torre may have more tricks up his hall of fame sleeve.
