There is no other sport in America where the regular season means so much. Take this year for example. You have at this point Boston College and Ohio State lead the way in the BCS standings. Now if they continue to win all their games thay will play in the National title game in New Orleans. Lose one than you open everything up for debate. The debate would start with the one-loss teams like LSU and Oklahoma. All those two teams had to do was win all their games. The polls have been a staple of College Football for years and years. The computers take into account everything you have done all season long. Which would include and not limited to strength of schedule, winning your conference, and ranking at the time. An improvement that was made was taking the AP poll out of this equation. Writers seem to be the ones that put a slant on everything. So having them out the way is a positive. As far as paying these players how would you regulate that? For all the people that say these players need to be paid noone has come up with how this would work. Would starters or guys who play prominent roles get more money than third and fourth stringers. If you have a scholarship does that mean you get more than the walk-ons do? That theory just makes no sense. The debate we have each and every year keeps College Football in the limelight all year round. That is what makes this game great. Leave it alone. Instant replay was a great inclusion I give you that but just because the NFL has it doesn’t mean College has to have it. Let it go people!!! Just sit back and enjoy the scramble that is College Football. If you do that you might enjoy it and stop thinking of ways to mess it up. Holla at your boy K-Boogie.
