Many may say about time but some may still be in shock over the recent firing of Athletic Director Steve Pederson.  Pederson took this job five years ago after former Husker coach Tom Osborne endorsed him for the open spot.  “This was his dream job, I feel bad about it,” said Osorne and with the job now open Osborne is now being proclamied as the perfect hire by many. University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Harvey Perlman will make the hire and 70-year-old Osborne is at the top of the list.  “I’m not turning the program over to him, but he’s knowledgeable , he has experience,” said Perlman.  Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a Husker Fan till I die and Tom Osborne carries that hero tag to many people who love that “BIG RED”.  Some may not understand why we still love him the way we do but for a start he did win three national championships in his last four years and he left a hero…..a true winner.  His opinion will always matter to the people of Nebraska and any true fan.  If Osborne takes this job this maybe what the Huskers need to get them back on track and also cure my Husker Blues.
