Classic Showdown in Florida
The Miami Hurricanes scored two last minute tochdowns to come from behind in a 37-29 victory over the Florida State Seminoles. Graig Cooper led the ground game for Miami with 80 yrds and one TD, while Javarris James added 73 yds on 20 attempts.
As for the Seminoles, they were led by Antone Smith who rushed for 114 yds. Xavier Lee completed just 14-of-32 passes in the loss, throwing for just 208 yds and two interceptions. This game had alot of back and forth plays. The Seminoles opened the scoring with a 23-yd field goal midway through the first quarter, but the Hurricanes answered back instantly when Wright crossed the goal line on a one-yard run. After a turnover by FSU the Hurricanes used one play, a two-yard touchdown run to push the lead to 14-3. Seconds into the third quarter the Seminoles pushed their lead to 23-17, but by the time the forth quarter came and with just seconds left Colin McCarthy returned a fumble 27 yards for Miami, bringing the score to 37-29
