Tank Johnson Signs 2-year Deal
Suspended defensive tackle Tank Johnson signed a two-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday. Johnson, who played the last three seasons for the Chicago Bears was suspended for eight games for violating probation on a gun charge. He has already missed the first two games of the season and he will still have the change to play his season. Under the new contract, Johnson plans to make about $255,000 this season, with is less than a rookie’s starting salary.
The Cowboys are hoping that Johnson will provide depth on a defensive line after losing nose tackle Jason Ferguson. Johnson will be placed on the reserve/suspended list and he will be eligible to play Nov. 11 against the New York Giants
