Again, I smell a Repeat!!
Well, it looks like the people of Portland can stop trying to save up for Blazer’s season tickets, because the star of the show Greg Oden will be out for the entire year….OUCH!!! His rookie year is over before it even stared. He will have to have knee surgery on Thursday. Dr. Don Roberts performed the surgery to repair the damage, which is described as the size of a fingertip. Oden is expected to be on crutches for 8 weeks but full recovery could likely take 6 to 12 months. When Oden was drafted #1 back in June the city of Portland felt like the road to Rip City was back and that they may even have a change to do something in the West. In Ohio State, Oden Avg 15.7 points and 9.6 rebounds. This is his second health problem since the draft. He had tonsillectomy in July. Training camp starts Oct. 2 and the Blazers were quick to point out that the team still has talent in young players like Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. Good Luck…..cause they are going to KNEE it.
