Who’s Number 1?
With a resounding response the answer is the Southern Cal. In a game that I thought for some reason would be competitive the Trojans really ran through the Nebraska CornHuskers 49-31. The game really was not that close. Nebraska had been waiting for this game for 365 days or so and in a 15 minute span the game was over. Leading 10-7 and the crowd going wild the Trojans really showed why they are the best team.
By taking the game by the horns in such a professional manner that has to be a result of their head coach and former NFL head coach Pete Carroll. The score went from 10-7 Huskers to 21-10 Trojans at the half. This game really didn’t show you everything Southern Cal can do. Quarterback John David Booty didn’t have a great game, the receivers really were not a part of the game. Wait until they get that part of the team going. It is evident that the running game, with all 8 runningbacks, and the defense that is as good as advertised. Now don’t get me wrong there are other suitors for the top spot but as of right now LSU, Oklahoma, and Florida are just a tad bit behind the Trojans at this point in time. It should be fun to see the year play out the Trojans still have road games at Oregon and at Cal that should be formidable. In the meantime the Trojans look like the horse with all the power.
