Weekend Review- College Football
September 10, 2007 |
Once again it’s your boy K-Boogie with my world renowned Weekend Review heeere we go….
Another fabulous weekend has come and pass with great things happening. How about Steve Superior oh I mean Spurrier showing the dawg fans that he and South Carolina have arrived with their 16-12 victory between the hedges. In un-Spurrier fashion he used the bull dozing running of Cory Boyd and a stifling defense to take down the pups. Just to let you know it’s Tennessee week as Florida and Tennessee hook up in their annual opening conference game. More on that later. Has Michigan truly fallen this far? Oregon Qb Dennis Dixon was tremendous throwing for 3 tds and running for another as the Ducks continued the rough start for the Wolverines in the “Big House” with a 39-7 butt whippin. I know I have waited long enough the LSU Tigers are really the best team in the country. I don’t hear you Trojans not one bit. The Tigers took down America’s team 48-7 in a game that wasn’t even that close. Lsu really maybe the 10th or 11th best team in the NFL right now I kid you not. That defense is not fair at times it seems that there are at least 20 players on the field at one time. The speed rivals the 90’s Florida St. and Miami defenses. Did I mention it’s Tennessee week. Tyronne Willingham my hats off to you. If I was dismissed from my job the way you were I would have alot of things to say but you sir have done everything with class. Also a 2-0 start while your old team is 0-2 is priceless. The Washington Huskies ended the nations longest win streak with a 24-10 win over last year’s Cinderella Boise St. In what was probaly the most exciting game of the day Texas A&M blew a 19-0 halftime only to hold on 47-45 in 3 overtimes. It looked as if the Aggies had lost when in the opening drive of the first overtime an appearant Fresno touchdown turned into a fumble that turned into a roughing the passer penalty and a repeat of the down. That turn into a game tying fieldgoal. Texas showed a tough “D” as well as they overcame a 10-0 deficit to blow TCU away 34-13. Oklahoma ran through a Miami team not ready for primetime 51-13. A special shout out goes to South Florida truly showing they are the second best team in the state as they go to plains and beat Auburn 26-23 in overtime. Look out Big East you have another powerhouse on your hands. Goergia Tech looks as if they have the best team in the peach state with a 69-14 win over Samford. Tashard Choice and Jonathon Dwyer look like a impressive duo. Now with all that behind us it’s officially Florida-Tennessee week and I can’t wait.
Holla at your boy….
