They made History

This team became the first to repeat since the Duke led teams of Christian Lattner, Grant Hill, and Bobby Hurley. They became the first starting five to return in tact and win the National Title. In ‘06 they became the first team in the state of Florida to win a title. Al Horford (3rd pick of the Hawks), Corey Brewer ( 7th pick of the Timberwolves), and Joakhim Noah ( 9th pick of the Bulls) became the first trio of teammates to be picked in the first 10 picks of the NBA Draft. Five members of the team were selected including Taurean Green and Chris Richards in the second round ( Portland and Minnesota respectively). On Saturday they were together again to receive their championship rings in front of a sell out crowd before the football team took on the Vols. Truly to never be forgotten in Gator lore 05-07 seasons for the Gator basketball program not made Gator history they made basketball history.

Yes this was one fine collection of young men. No troubles just championships. Back to Back National Champs and something that gets lost on alot of people is three time conference tournament champs as well. Something that has only been done by Kentucky and Arkansas in their hay day. Pretty elite company
